Triathlon 101 Class

Have you ever wanted to do a triathlon? Don’t know where to start?
Taking the Tri 101 class will provide beginners with the instruction and training that they need to complete their first triathlon!
You DO NOT need to be a student or Ball State affiliate to take this class.
Schedule
The first class will be January 19th and every Thursday following until April 5th. There will be no class on March 8th.
Location & Times
Class #1 & #2: Ball Pool 10:00am – 12:00pm
Class #3 to #11: SRWC 213 10:00am – 12:00pm. This is located in the student rec center.
Class Description
Instruction will include: learn to swim freestyle, open water swimming, proper running and biking form, yoga, basic equipment needed for your first triathlon, transitions, clothing, nutrition, training plans, race day planning, volunteering, bike maintenance and proper bike fit.
The first class will be 2 hours and include orientation and a swim clinic. All classes will be part instruction and part training.
Included in the fee is classroom & training instruction. 1 training log. 1 entry to the Henry County YMCA Indoor Triathlon.
Target Race
Henry County YMCA Indoor Triathlon on April 7, 2012. Race information can be found here. It is included in the class fee.
